Wolftree is a print and online magazine for Makers, Dreamers and Adventurers. They brought me on for a year as the Creative Director to help them position the new magazine in an already saturated market.

I worked with the editorial team to design a unique wordmark that would be familiar to their target demographic while still setting the magazine apart from the competition.

I augmented the wordmark with an icon that would be used alongside the rest of the brand.

Print Design

For the first two volumes, Wolftree was still trying to find it's voice. I worked with the core leadership to redefine the scope of the magazine and solidify
the format.

The chief editor and I worked together to develop a system of reusable layout modules for the magazine. The modules included systems for typography, photography, and illustration.

Editorial Illustrations

I directed and produced a short film promotional piece for the third issue of the magazine.

With the rebranded third issue, we also launched a new online magazine. Up to this point Wolftree only had a sparse blog and online store. We extended the format and added exclusive online features.

Companion Album

Along with the physical magazine we recorded a companion album of songs my team and I wrote from the themes of the issue. We recorded and produced the album in our personal studio.
